Management Based on Science

Alaska is recognized the world over as a pioneer and leader in science-based sustainable fisheries managment and the fishery for Wild Alaska Sole is no exception. The fishery is federally managed by the North Pacific Fishery Management Council based on data and analysis provided by the National Marine Fisheries Service with the goal of sustaining fish stocks and protecting the marine ecosystem. It is a transparent and collaborative system that allows for broad stakeholder participation.

Low Carbon Footprint

Wild capture seafood has one of the lowest carbon footprints of any protein. In addition, the production of wild seafood like Wild Alaska Sole uses no land, no pesicides or herbicides, and very little water.
